Anthony Joshua has revealed that he went and confronted a group of Tyson Fury fans after their amusing exchange that went viral.
Two weeks ago, a funny video emerged of some Fury supporters chanting their hero’s name after seeing AJ while on holiday in Marbella.
Joshua is the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion
The heavyweight champion seemed to take the stick well and responded with a jokey middle finger.
However, he’s now explained that the situation did get a little more serious later on when the camera was no longer rolling.
Joshua told Sky Sports News: “It’s funny, I was at a little pool party, chilling with a couple of my boys.
“Some of the Tyson Fury fans were there and there’s like a healthy divide, sporting divide at the minute. You know, ‘Tyson Fury or AJ.’
“And they’re shouting, ‘Oh Tyson Fury,’ as I’m walking off, so I gave them a little gesture.

“Just to acknowledge and let them know I’m still here, I’m one of the lads as well.
“On my way back, they tried to do it again, so I went and confronted them.
“I said, ‘Look, I’m here for the banter and stuff, but let’s not make it a disrespectful thing, we’re all here for a good time.’
“That kinda calmed that situation down.”

The two Brits have agreed financial terms to fight twice in 2021
These terms state that the first bout will be a 50/50 purse split, while the rematch will be a 60/40 split in favour of whomever wins the first.
It is unknown where and when the fights are going to happen, though the most likely venue seems the Middle East.
