Dillian Whyte issues violent warning to Anthony Joshua after ‘punch’ remark

Dillian Whyte has fired a serious warning to Anthony Joshua as their rivalry continues to reignite once again.

The pair appeared to have settled all issues when they fought on the same show in Saudi Arabia last December.

Whyte beat Joshua in the amateurs, but AJ won when they met in the pro ranks

AJ and Whyte shook hands at the open workout and wished each other luck in their respective bouts.

Joshua also thanked Dean Whyte after hearing how he tackled a man who tried to open the door of their plane flying to Saudi – AJ’s mum was on the same flight.

However, comments that the ‘Body Snatcher’ made since were received badly by the unified champion.

Whyte accused Joshua of attempting ‘fake negotiations’ for their fight last April and so Joshua hit back by saying he ‘bottled it’ from the bout.

During this latest interview with Sky VIP, they concluded by asking AJ if he plans to attend Whyte vs Povetkin on August 22.

He half-jokingly replied: “I might get in there and give him a punch as well.

“You’re getting me psyched up now.”

It’s since been confirmed that the plan is for him to be part of Sky’s broadcast team for the pay-per-view.

After hearing this, Whyte has not held back with his response.

He told Sky Toe2Toe: “He might get a box if he does that. He might get a box, there and then, one box.

“He thinks it’s a game, but I don’t play games with these guys.

“They think it’s a game, scream and shout and get in each other’s faces, but if he does, he will get a box.”
