Eubank Jr fires back after being slammed by middleweight on destructive KO streak

Chris Eubank Jr and Liam Williams have exchanged words on social media about a potential future fight.

Both Brits suffered two defeats on their records in previous years, but are now on good form after settling at middleweight.

Wales’ Williams has been on a violent knockout streak of six consecutive stoppages since his move up to 160lbs in 2018.

Brighton’s Eubank Jr achieved a career best win over James DeGale last February, but has only fought two rounds since as his December opponent Matt Korobov suffered a shoulder injury early in their bout.

The pair have since been sidelined by the coronavirus pandemic.

Williams is now mandatory for Demetrius Andrade’s WBO world title, but currently cannot fight him due to the travel situation.

This prompted Williams to tweet on Monday: “Any Brits fancy a dust-up? Fed up of all this b***cks now.

“Who wants some? Chris Eubank Jr, [do] you want it, you f***ing ballbag?”

In a rare move for Eubank Jr, he rose to the bait and replied: “You remind me of a guy I fought years ago called Spike O’Sullivan.

“Big talker on Twitter but quit once he got in the ring with me.

“I believe you are the same type of animal… All fart no stink.

“But maybe one day I’ll give you the opportunity to quit against me too… we’ll see.”

Williams concluded by hitting back: “Hahahaha you clown. No disrespect to Spike, but I’m a different animal.

“I’ll tear you a new a***hole you big daddy’s boy. Why don’t we get it on then?”
