Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is reportedly considering a move to Juventus with talks opened.
Manchester United fans have warned Paul Pogba about repeating the mistakes of Philippe Coutinho if he leaves the club. The World Cup winner is said to be in talks with Juventus as he considers his Old Trafford future.
Coutinho left Liverpool for Barcelona in January of 2018 but has failed to make an impact at the Nou Camp.
The Brazil international is now on loan at Bayern Munich but the Bundesliga giants will not make the deal permanent.
That has left Coutinho looking for a return to the Premier League this summer with the likes of Newcastle and Chelsea linked.
United fans have warned Pogba against making the same mistakes though if he chooses to leave the club this summer.
One said: “The grass isnt greener on the other side and if PP thinks our fans can be savage then he will be in for a wake up call when he sees them Madrid fans go at him lol.”
Another added: “I always say this to people. I want to go I want to go, Coutinho is now regretting leaving Liverpool. Paul should be patient, he loves Man U. I’m sure he can see the progress under Ole.”
A third explained: “Life is about taking risks.. If it didn’t work out for Coutinho, it could for Pogba.. Buh nevertheless, Pogba should learn oh, Man Utd is going up and he’s gonna be a big part of it.”
One more said: “This is what they said about Liverpool when coutinho left…if Pogba leaves and United have the right manager they would improve better.”
A fifth added: “I hope paul Pogba is seeing this Coutinho’s situation ….. to learn from it.”
Meanwhile, Paul Ince has told United to sort the future of Pogba out this summer as a matter of priority.
“They’ve got to resolve the (Paul) Pogba situation,” Ince told Paddy Power.
“It has to be resolved. You can’t keep having what we’re having every six, seven, eight weeks. He’s going, he’s staying, the agent comes out. Pogba is not bigger than Manchester United, no player is bigger than Manchester United.
“The way Ole is going, you don’t want any disruptions. He either knuckles down and starts performing the way he should be performing for the money he cost, or they sell him.
“The biggest thing is for Man United is (Bruno) Fernandes coming in. Before that you are saying, ‘We need Pogba in there’.
“Now because he’s been out injured and Fernandes has come in, all of a sudden, ‘Do we need Pogba in there?’
“Does he get in there? I know he (Solskjaer) likes (Scott) McTominay. (Nemanja) Matic has come in and started playing well. Does Pogba start every game?
“If Ole thinks he’s not going to, he might think he can cash in and bring one or two other players in. But the saga needs to be sorted out before the start of next season because next season is a big season for Ole. A big, big season.
“But I like the way they are going now, I like what I’m seeing. I can’t make judgement yet.
“They are not there yet where Liverpool and City are, but signs are good and that’s a good thing to say because I didn’t see those signs a year ago.
“I like what I’m seeing. I like the place and I like the players they are bringing in. You’ve got to give Ole time now to take them where they need to be, which is challenging for the league title.”
United currently sit fifth in the Premier League and will hope to leapfrog Chelsea into fourth if and when football restarts in England.
