Tyson Fury reveals he’s had ‘plenty’ of talks with Dana White over UFC fight

Tyson Fury is a man in demand.

The WBC heavyweight champion has plenty of business to attend to in the boxing ring, but he’s done a masterful job of generating interest in multiple lines of work.

Fury has been back on top of the world since defeating Deontay Wilder last February

Besides the fact there will probably be a Hollywood film about his unbelievable comeback, Fury has got WWE and UFC interested in his services.

The 31-year-old has already competed in WWE in a lucrative showdown with Braun Strowman last year, but after training with UFC middleweight Darren Till, the Gypsy King suggested he’d be interested in getting inside the octagon.

During a chat with Kugan Cassius on his Instagram Live workout, Fury opened up about the discussions he’s had with UFC president Dana White.

“I’ve had plenty of conversations with Dana White about potentially having a fight with one of the guys,” Fury started. “But, at the minute, I don’t need to fight UFC guys.

Dana White has long held an interest in the boxing world and has explored bringing Tyson Fury into UFC

“I need to clear up some of my own stuff [in the boxing world]. There’s a few guys that need to be fought in this era. I need to fight Wilder again. I’ve got to fight Joshua. I need to fight Dillian Whyte.

“I’ll fight anyone, and there’s a lot coming up too like Joe Joyce, Daniel Dubois and Tony Yoka. A lot of fresh meat to beat on. There’s even fights like Luis Ortiz, whoever.”

There are obvious contenders that Fury can make a lot of money with, but he was also quick to point out there are a lot of other options manifesting in the heavyweight division and as a fan of the sport, that can’t help but get him excited.

A showdown with Anthony Joshua seems inevitable for Tyson Fury

“There’s so many heavyweights today. Efa Ajagba, the Nigerian. He looks pretty good, big tall kid. Filip Hrgović, he looks amazing, too. Oleksandr Usyk. Dereck Chisora, he’s in the mix. There’s so many good heavyweights out there to be fought and fights to give the fans.

“Until then, I don’t need a fight with Francis Ngannou. I don’t need Stipe Miocic, Brock Lesnar, whoever. I don’t need these guys to fight in a crossover match right now. When I’m finished what I’m doing in my own career, we can look at something like that.”

Fury has said that he would consider fighting WWE champion Drew McIntyre if a deal could be worked out. McIntyre is the first-ever British world champion in WWE and Fury likes the idea of bringing that event to the UK.

Still, with Wilder and Joshua both desperate to battle Fury, it seems like that will be the top of his priority list.
