Eddie Hearn has announced that Matchroom HQ will host fights behind closed doors when boxing returns in July/August.
The amibitious plan will see a ring erected on the lawn outside the mansion in Brentwood, Essex where Hearn grew up as a child.
The stunning mansion has a large back lawn where a ring will be built
It has since been converted into their office and will now be repurposed once again.
Not much is publicly known about the building, however talkSPORT were invited for a visit on a snowy day in early 2018.
Hearn gave us a tour around the facilities and introduced us to his team at the company.
“This is the old family home,” he explained, “Tony Bellew once took the mickey out of me and said, ‘Oh, you had it hard, you, lad.’
Hearn released images of what the setup will look like
“This was a house that my dad bought about 30 years ago, little bit longer. He was from council house in Dagenham, did well, and this was his first major purchase.
“I grew up so obviously we feel great here, it’s been very good for us.
“I think he paid £200,000 for it at the time which looks like a good investment now.
“But more than that and more than the money, this has been very lucky for us, been a very lucky place. We’re big believers in that and luck.”
